  1. I dont know but here banks charging rate for every transaction maybe like a account maintenace and in the past as far I can recall they are offerimg services like your accountant on how to handle every transaction for security. local banks, central banks, ecb, imf,wb. Just a comment most of them in position have lot of info on what they are doing,we will just wait and see what they will do next. Any idea?
  2. Just posting. http://newsvote.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/business/7927100.stm
  3. Just an opinion. Either Im alarmed or confused. few months ago I think ,a collection of art work was sold, still fetching even in recession and what other say a physical thing. It is not nickel and dimes for some coins in high grade and good history is worth more, more likely a national treasure. National treasure, some collection or artifact in the museum those that maybe a lesser value or historical importance didnt even have catalog, in the museum for lack of staff and funding just an opinion. And other item are sold to those who can afford and will take care of it for whatever reason they have. some goes to the museum if they can outbid other private collector. Isnt it the problem is how to encourage younger generation for coin collecting and history, that is in the news in the past and it is not Germany. What are thier plans why suddenly they are interested in confiscating artifact? confiscation not fees or penalty in forms of money, just a opinion.
  4. Im not good in grading. Dealers or BNTA officials will be good, how about on the side of collectors and numismatics is there association can make a seal of approval?
  5. Like to ask some question. Is euro and GBP is in bullion or same like USD on value on how much money to made a coin? For now every small denomination removed from circulation as other posted in other forum and seen the effects on other countries inflation goes up,also when new denomination of coin is produce that are held by noted and bills. What will happen if 5,10 or 20 euro and GBP coin is made, and half or 3/4 of its metal is made of silver,to be used in circulation, what will be the effect on it?
  6. Goodluck. Who will going to approved BNTA secretary general and signed by its president? something like a Imprimatur,it will be good and done by long and arduous collective effort of British collector and dealers.
  7. Nice to hear that, thank you.
  8. Is there a ME in farthings or any varieties in those year? Just asking. The pointing of I in BRITT the I in IND and I in IMP the initial BM in 1923 and 1928 or it just a minor variety. http://www.aboutfarthings.co.uk/Farthing%20-%201923.html http://www.aboutfarthings.co.uk/Farthing%20-%201928.html

    news on metal detecting

Just posting for future reference. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/7736759.stm
  10. What I like to see is all coins in every year full blown in color in every year . The left page the obverse the right page the reverse.a collection of high grade coins in picture in high gloss paper, in every denomination, maybe after the grading guide book. Next time compilation of full blown picture including varieties. Or a references book for grading,a reference book like freeman or ccgb and a collection of picture all roll into one references book to be release in one time, archived in print or books. expert will just keep the back up copy for safe keeping, just a comment. Goodluck.
  11. The records where the coin is struck what mint. who supply the metal or flan, the distance between the mint, the master die where it is located, the metal composition, the finished of the coin brozed or bronze, change in color or toning?,the average weigth, how many high grade coin in hands of collector when was the last time it goes out in the market. the boundaries when was the last production of a certain coin and year and what mint produce them. just a comment
  12. Nice info. hope others can find some overstike from 1948 penny inside top loop of eight or just a die flaw? or 1925 halfpenny overstrike in 9 2 or 5? or post damage.

    Threepence/Maudy.... Which is it?

http://www.predecimal.com/threepence-1913-p-7635.html No picture of 3 pence to compare maybe in the future in every year and also the maundy. on the cross on top of the crown. Is the base of the cross is round or rectangular? others may have well struck and more detailed, its nice to have picture to compare the maundy and 3 pence found in circulation.

    Ireland variety.

Thanks Gunmoney. The die flaw in penny is a variety just a commnet have 2 in 1968 and 1 1949 just like a die flaw in Germany euro cent under the stem besides the letter .
  15. Seen any 20 shilling coin with close spacing?
  16. I dont know but there is a program of some sort if they will going to change the obverse in 1890 like the other denomunation to older head but the pennies was not included until 1895 to old head. seen some pennies that there is a gap between R maybe in BRITT or other words most probally in the raised letters some are very narrow some are thicker but some are about 1mm maybe a worn die, maybe the mint used the old die until new program or new die comes in 1890 to 1894 maybe. Nice to have a uncirculated with a gap in R if it exist most of mine are very worn. Its been sometime know. http://www.predecimal.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=3855

    Question for Chris

Nice to hear that. You can forward other pictures of variety to red r,for grading if they decided to add a new book for grading variety, obverse and reverse and its variety and identifier.
  20. The side of the coin or its edge is important.also the obverse and the reverse. Other glued other coin to have a double head or tail and other saying a magic coin dont know what that means.
