Thanks gary most likely should always be 2 minor varieties found to differentiate the two, the tail of nine the first one is pointing to bead. The second example was pointing to the left. Good picture MUYG is your coin have a ding below the one or it is post mint just curious. Gary did you found any small 00 on 1900 I think they varies in sized is that the same thing or not some last two zeros are placed well in the middle of 9.

Putting coin on foundation who started it?
josie posted a topic in British Coin Related Discussions & Enquiries
Read about the article on clayton again on 1933 penny that was placed on one of the church made on 1933 that the pillar was moved to get the penny. Just wondering who started this kind of thing placing coin on the foundation? Thus it originated in UK or Europe and when it started? Thus other metal detector hobbyist already know this thing? where the buildngs in GB are one on top of another, public and private ones, well some I saw on BIG DIG when they are excavating, new ones are on top of the old foundation, Thus a lay man or common man of the masses practice this,?maybe a number of old folks in the PHIL. practice this,They only put coins that is out in circulation in its foundation that includes my folks or parents. What is the meaning of putting coins in the foundation? -

1871 gothic florin with double struck 6 in die number?
josie replied to Coins4u's topic in British Coin Related Discussions & Enquiries
Thanks for the info. Double cut thats its meaning and example. -
Why would anyone take exception to the above statement? It is from the Bible, and most of us know of it from our dreary hours whilst languishing in the forlorn Sunday School gatherings. Funny how parents made most of us in that class go, but they got to stay home. One of those things you figure out when you are married and have kids, lets send the kiddies to Sunday school and we will pick them up when they are done Much better all of them go on sunday and carry what they have everyday until sunday again. Quite hard though to walk through a narrow path towards a narrow door. but there still many cuing. Im still learning and searching.

Godless dollars - storm & teacup come to mind. It should be remembered that not all people spending money have the slightest inerest in what's on the coinage, just what it will buy! Yes Geordie not all but most of the people have interest for it happen in history first at GB that is the Godless Florin and now in the US the Godless dollar also the 20$ piece all of them have an affect an uproar from the public to retained the inscription not all but most of the people in both country is in favor of the inscription and they do look at it if not their is others will always look for that inscription, just an opinion.

Thanks RCL Their are persons in the govt. that are preveliege those are in the position like police or soldier etc. It is also written in the book to abide to the govt.both following the teaching in the book and giving what is to ceazar.

The RIGHT LOVE SCOTT, NOT THE EXCESS LOVE OF MONEY. And how you are going to spend it and how did you earn it. Yes they can do anything about the motto lucky enough its in the mandate of US or in its constitution if Im not mistaken. In the past people are killed on speaking GOD but today even it is on the coin they are still alive thanks for them. For me RED you pay your obligation your tax to the roman govt, for GOD I must admit still searching but do things that is good one of them that their are nations who believe in GOD if they lost the inscription whats next is their faith is in question as always since in the past for the proof is their action I mean everytime they go to war as it is not popular in US,citizens strickly opposed going to war , one of their action is they inscribe it in the coin, the other if questionable if they go to war or other things, they have already inscribe the word in the coin at least they did one good thing, for me or just my opinion.

Im still learning people who have a good position most of them in the govt. are good their are several great minds in their circle thats for me. About the inscription I think it all started in judeo-christian as other dont like the inscription in a coin they belong to other pre judeo-christian. Marjority rules minority rights. It just depends on what are their belief among others. Is other things in one nation is in questioned? For me as long the inscription is their for me its good unless other individual suceed in doing so like an attempt in US to remove it but good enough the court dont allow it. The one that bothering me is that why on edge is this a hype of the mint or they are just somewhat affected by it others will not easily see a inscription on the new dollar but most of them will unlikely goes to circulation and most US coin the word is on the obverse so Im okay with it. Gods own all things for me its better if His name on it, as for others didnt know should have known and they will have no reason or excuse that they dont know when the time comes.

Are we asking or questioning the 2 goverment or the people in two nation or ourselves or we are questioning someone on this things?
-
I kind of thinking this kind or sort of topic in my head. That a coin is a art as other art expert well noted and a coin is a propaganda in the past during war times. Is coin is just for currency use if it is its just bullion for me but the inscription and the backing up of the gorverment on the coin for a legal tender for me it somewhat reflect the goverment or its people in ones nation. Just recall the no edge inscription if the US govt can have a hand on it for its already,I think well placed now by the collector.
