Collectors' Coins Great Britain 2007 Edition
josie replied to Gary's topic in Rotographic Publications Forum
It's all very exciting you know! Even when I think back to my first CCGB which was the 2005 issue, it's come a long way in such a short time and I keep getting new ideas to make it a little better each time. Yeah very exciting especially those are base in GB,way back in other site they are asking question on when UK books will be published, especially the new find they are somewhat waiting for it,well somebooks are published in the opening of 2007. Yeah your 2005 your short of copy well thier is rotographic maybe in the future if Im good in computer and storing file. Forgey books is good especially to those who buy gold in expensive and high quality piece it is better to have a guide than sorry.especially other members mentioned something happen to that gold. -
Collectors' Coins Great Britain 2007 Edition
josie replied to Gary's topic in Rotographic Publications Forum
Well one thing to know it is by poll from this forum and from your associate. US have diff. books I guess its time for GB to have books on diff. denomination like other specialized book from copper up,well CCGB 2007 is the first book posted in world books in coinlink, CCGB is not enough to cover the GB coin in one issue that is only my opinion,Maybe CCGB with volume issue per year for modern, victorian, milled or celtic.but the result the failure and success of selling the volume is risky depends on how many will buy,I quoted this on one of my post. Their is also a photograding books also saw in coinlink. For me I have still lot of things to learn but expert who have a personal notes and other find not know and recorded that is still something else if it exist -

About the 1990 5 pence smaller size it all listed as proof in CCGB. no in circulation but on other reference they note in BU, I or others may misinterpret that thier is no 1990 5 pence in circulation so I check in other reference they are in circulation. -
1990 5p varieties?
josie replied to Chris Perkins's topic in British Coin Related Discussions & Enquiries
Thanks mint for the info. About the 1991 5 pence their is a close and open circle in 1991? I just saw one maybe Im mistaken. On 1990 I think the circle is overlaping maybe through production. But on 1992 clearly it is open about the boundaries of the open and close 9 if it exist will have to wait few more time -
1990 5p varieties?
josie replied to Chris Perkins's topic in British Coin Related Discussions & Enquiries
Maybe. Or a worn die combine with thin flan, for me if even it is a thin flan the edge should also be sharper if the die is sharp. Or worn die, thin flan, and worn in circulation. Or their are 2 different die use one use in early days thats is sharp and the second one for latter use and long and worn now is round that may came common. -
Thanks Gary. Just one of a curiosity coin. Is good to browse in this forum to have somewhat a guide on what I will going to look on the coin, if it differs from normal struck. I see this coin if it is a ding from other coin, for D are somewhat alingned to N this coin most of them the D is more outward than N for me was something press on top to create that effect,or an unpolished die. If it is a repunched or over letter others can checked their coins 1945 halfcrown backward and onwards in the series if it exist.

1990 5p varieties?
josie replied to Chris Perkins's topic in British Coin Related Discussions & Enquiries
Yes it is 1990 5pence. Saw 1991 rounded edge, but 1992 onwards square it seems that 1990 have both but also maybe 1991 for 1992 onwards on coins that I have is sharp and square like. Didnt seen any difference on the die on obverse and reverse. -
