  1. The 6 is always the clincher - quite different on the 2 dates:
  2. https://www.hope-education.co.uk/product/curricular/mathematics/measurement/20p-coin-set---pack-100/he1706979?pk_cid=1&pk_keyword=HE1706979&pk_medium=multifeeds&pk_campaign=Google&pk_source=Google&pk_content=BusinessIndustrial&msclkid=8a6e9c40b28a1ce40d1aff23591e8800&utm_source=bing&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=[SHP] [Products] Curricular [3]&utm_term=4587231238347420&utm_content=Catch All
  3. As struck by what - lightning ?
  4. Good news.
  5. I think that the large rose variety has been getting a bit of publicity lately and dealers are probably cashing in.
  6. It looks normal to me. The "tail" on mine looks fatter.
  7. Probably not. I don't have a microscope and the coin is slabbed. I'll have a go but don't hold your breath.
  8. I have an 1855 P.T. penny which I bought because it appears to have the date numeral 5s in different fonts with the right hand 5 slightly "fatter". However, the reverse of this coin appears to have a slightly different design with Britannia's chain mail bodice having what I describe as an ornate central panel. It's a pity that the coin isn't a higher grade but nevertheless it does look different to me. Normal Plain Trident reverse My coin's reverse Sorry about the size difference - it must be to do with the resolution of the originals.
  9. Yes please. Happy to receive by email.
  10. Not the recessed ear variety, then ?
  11. Because the whole world is dumbing down around us. Why does every TV programme begin with a summary of what is to follow ? Why does every news item have to have a piece of film illustrating what is being said ?
  12. Well done, Paul - I'm still looking for one of these.
  13. That's much clearer and definitely not something that I've seen before.
  14. Larry, we need a photo containing all 4 date numerals to make a comparison.
  15. Could you post the reverse for completeness, Terry.
  16. A nice but not rare 1860 F10 with a large die crack went for £580-80. I don't understand it. It looks as though I should get my entire collection slabbed before I sell it.
  17. Not the greatest photo but I see no trace of a 3.
  18. I think that's a racing certainty, but hopefully they will be produced in such volumes that speculators won't be able to cash in.
