  1. That seems like a pretty good deal to me.

I can't remember. I have an idea it was posted on the Forum several years ago but I can't remember by whom.

Actually, I think this is the best one

    DNW changing names.....?

Yes, I got there by clicking on Auctions, then going down to Special Collections, clicking on "FILTER" and entering "Bamford" into the KEYWORD field and clicking on Search. But on the Home page, if you click on Auctions and then click on "Archive", you get the option to click on "Featured Collections" (not Special Collections !) and if you click on Featured Collections, you get the error page. It's a real dog's dinner.

Doesn't work for me on Chrome or Firefox.

    DNW changing names.....?

If you click on Auction Archive and then Featured Collections, an error page comes up - they've clearly made no attempt to correct this in the 2 weeks that I mentioned it to them.

    DNW changing names.....?

Keep us posted. I sent them a number of points mentioning that I did not have the patience to do an exhaustive system test for them and never received an acknowledgement or reply despite requesting a response. Their reputation will go straight down the drain.

    Ebay's Worst Offerings

One of the oddest mules I've ever seen. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/265694898603?hash=item3ddca669ab:g:7EAAAOSwuMtigoVG

Very nice - hard to find in a lustrous state.

I agree (although the Victorian copper proof penny prices seem to be going through the roof), but I used the comparison just to say that I didn't think the Medusa price was unreasonable.

Its rarity is comparable with the 1877 F90 which would fetch much more in that condition.

My bid of $200 was winning for a couple of weeks !
  13. Not even room bidding now - postal bids only, maybe telephone ?

Sadly, "Noonan Syndrome" will soon be taking on a whole new meaning.

Are other people having trouble accessing this auction ? Every change of page or lot takes between 30 and 40 seconds to come up on my PC. I've just found that it's much much better on Firefox - I was using Chrome previously but the DNW site worked perfectly on Chrome.

The coin wasn't sold as a proof and Peck never suggests that the bronzed pieces are proofs. Their purpose and creation remain a mystery.

No - different coin. That was an ornamental trident (P1513) penny (lot 666) but this is a plain trident P1514 coin.

    Yes, advertised as bronzed.

I bought a bronzed 1857 from Sovreign Rarities a while ago.

    DNW changing names.....?

Ian Anderson at DNW has replied and asked me exactly what issues there were. I've listed about half a dozen and promised to give a more exhaustive list on Friday.
