  1. Yes, but that was Scotland. Nicola must have sorted it !
  2. I'd agree and would also say that the presence of a die crack doesn't constitute a variety, i.e. a unique combination of obverse and reverse types, and so I wouldn't expect to see die cracks (resulting from heavy die usage) mentioned in any reference book.
  3. The sooner the UK gets to net zero, the sooner the worldwide problem will be fixed and we'll all get back to normal.😎
  4. It doesn't show on the photo of my proof but I'll take a look in the flesh.
  5. I can't detect that line on any of my specimens.
  6. The ability to negotiate our own deals on Covid vaccines ?
  7. Absolutely - cabinet friction doesn't exist (unless you're Boris !)
  8. The true 1858 over 3 (or 2 as is now thought) always has a die flaw through the base of the date numerals:
  9. Please post a photo of the obverse
  10. Ah yes, I hadn't recalled that or even seen it when looking through it last night - I bow to your superior knowledge, Gary 😡
  11. I don't think that he goes into the number of die pairings found for any given variety but I'm willing to be proved wrong.
  12. I can only find a mention of an 1862 penny on page 31 which he describes as "as for Number 38" with 2 struck over 1, and which "should be included as Satin 38A", but none of the 1862 2 over 1 examples that I've seen are the F38 die pairing. I'm not sure that John is correct here. Or have I missed something ?
  13. I'll add your coin pics to my website. Would you like me to credit you by name ?
  14. I wonder whether the management at Noonan's is aware of our feedback ?
  15. Yes, definitely Obv 11 - the hair to the left of the tie knot gives it away.
  16. There was definitely a possibility. But not worth betting on in my view.
  17. Jerry, can you email pics to Michael Gouby so that he can update his Medusa document.
  18. Me too but I didn't trust the photo either.
  19. When you get down to a particular auction, either past or present, there seems to be a search facility on each auction page (I think although I can't guarantee every page has one).
