Linear circle on the obverse is also much stronger on F6. Large areas missing on the early beaded patterns. -
I'll ask Fiona Bruce (Fake or Fortune).

I tried to post something today but all I got repeatedly was: 403 ERROR Sorry but the page you have requested has encountered the following error: Forbidden Please feel free to browse the rest of my website You may also use the "Search" feature to find the product you are looking for I apologise for the inconvenience. What does this mean ?

That's fine.
-
Blake, can you post or send photos for my website please.
-
Thanks Ian, I'll create a new page for these in the next few days.

I don't have any pictures of this type.

I think that some people will sympathise with him and celebrate his "windfall". Another person might even have offered to split the cost so that we both benefit in the event that RM don't pursue repayment.

It was on Ebay earlier this year and I enquired of the vendor whether it had been cleaned, polished etc as the apparent lustre could have been enhanced. I was hoping that the auction house would give it a more accurate description - I certainly wouldn't have bought it without viewing first. But it may be fine. I get some pics of the reverse from Tennants but they weren't very useful.
-
Just watched a nice 1911 Hollow Neck sell for £1800 plus commission at Tennants auction.

Not that, then..........

I did have the words Ro*al M*il in there, properly spelt. We'll see if it accepts this.

Last Monday I posted a rare 1862 over 1 penny (Example 2 on my rare penny site) to Scotland by Special Delivery. It never arrived and has been lost in the Royal Mail's process (noted as received at the Post Office with no further notifications). They have advised me to make a formal claim. Can I ask anyone who spots it being advertised for sale to contact me via this site.
-
It may look that way because of the different number of border teeth on the 2 reverses.

Another batch of rarer stuff on eBay...

Martin, I've added the F176 to my rare penny website - thanks. -
Actually, looking at the 2 reverses, there is a greater difference in the waves, which are engraved completely differently on the two varieties.
-
Am I missing something ? I can't see any difference in the rock between 1909 rev D, 1909 F169 rev E and 1910 rev E 1909 F168 rev D 1909 F169 rev E 1910 rev E

In geek-like fashion I had recreated the article in Word, even including the 2 photos and decided to insert the word "nevertheless" after "specimen" - so we're on the same wavelength (is that a good thing ???)
-
The sentence below the photograph seems to end abruptly after the words "but a specimen"..... Is that how it was printed or is it a fold in the paper ?
