Paddy, could you provide the link again, please. -
Now, I may get labelled a killjoy but I'd like to suggest that members try to stick to the subject of the posting category if we want to attract other collectors to this website. A person viewing Predecimal for the first time and checking out the "More Pennies" section will currently be met with umpteen pictures of the sun and may well write it off as a waste of time. If it weren't for Ian's pictures of the various ship types, there wouldn't be a relevant post on this page. I'm all for the occasional witticism and the "Things to make us laugh" section has had some wonderful one-liners recently that I've laughed out loud at. Feel free to disagree but please do it politely.

I'll probably have the time now they've closed my golf course.

Paddy, you left out the crucial 2 doors out.

With this ban on sport, I'm really missing playing in goal for my local football team - it's the only way I can keep a clean sheet at my age...... -

Great news - I've just had this email from the Ingrams "We are still operating, and as long as health and circumstances permit, we will carry on doing so." -

I've just discovered the sun shining onto the date of an 1863 penny. Must be a die clash of border teeth, I guess.

Ah, I hadn't recorded that anywhere - Thanks Jerry.

Jerry, I don't think I've got your normal F24 on my rare website ?

I see that the 2 D2 coins went for £1800 - it's probably the first time that this variety has come to market in recognisable form even though they weren't catalogued as such. It will be interesting to see what they sell on for, assuming they were bought for that reason. This sale values them at around £7-900 each.

I was totally incredulous the other day when my wife declared that she was the world's number one fan of the Monkees. But then I saw her face........................ -

On my own F73 7 over 7, the die crack is much worse (and her knee is still smoking !). -

My example definitely has polished surfaces and it might be only my imagination but all the examples of so-called F74's that I've seen appear to have the H a little further from the linear circle than your photo. -
What the heck is this coin?

i've just noticed that yours is paired with a different Obverse as it has a Narrow Date , my example has a wide date There may be a slight difference in width but they are both 1858 large date numerals. -
