I'm on my iPhone and in general most is working ok for me! Loving the new layout Chris, it's brought the forum well up to date and once everyone has had a play they'll get used to it. Good job and I'm sure everyone will come to appreciate the time/money you've spent getting it looking new and fresh. My only qualm is that it hyphenates my words when they run into a new paragraph (on iPhone) which is a literary faux pas IMHO! Ooooo, love that it makes your smiley a smiley before you submit edit: I can see it makes the word whole again once posted so maybe it's just my phone!

Works ok for me! New content is top right button with 3 horizontal lines, then activity, then unread content.

Anyone for Art Deco?
Nordle11 replied to bagerap's topic in Nothing whatsoever to do with coins area!
Like you wouldn't believe, and the area I live in is the gothic quarter which is by far my favourite area of the city. There are buildings on my street that still have pock marks from artilery peppered across the faces, it's truly an amazing city -

Wow. Love a bit of art deco, the MOP inserts are amazing running down the side. So what's it made of, mahogany? -

As per the title, if you're interested in it I'm only asking for the postage and it's yours. It was an early buy when I was finding my collecting area and could go to a better home now! It's in excellent condition too. Matt -

Oh bugger I just lost out on a copy of Peck I appreciate it, however it's now a wrapped Christmas present on its way to Paulus! Many thanks though -
Ps I do still get the message even after the reset
-
Haha you could be right there! Only a good thing I imagine too Chris, the more information on this forum the more to be learnt!

Very nice pennies but my god there's a hefty premium on them. With tax, postage and import duty from America they're hard to justify!

"view new Content" not working when you sign in

Ditto here on my iPhone. When it happens I can refresh a couple of times and it kicks back in but I'm getting it a lot too. -

1 in date over tooth and 1 in date between teeth? Hard to tell from the pics.

Bernie, I also cannot see the bigger pictures when I click on them -
That certainly tells a story David! I would also go as far as to say that it is slightly broad struck as well, looking at 6 o'clock on the obverse! I finally got my 1934 in hand today and my god it's 50x better than the pictures showed. I'm also finding it hard to make it look as good as it does, but my pictures are certainly better than the sellers. Anyway, for £40 I am one happy customer

Muuuuch better Dave. I also have to agree with you there Richard, it would become unpragmatic to start to define every different date space as an individual variety, especially as this is not a change in design. As Dave says I think it's just an attempt to take in more money.

Maybe there is a gap?

Amazing, keep it up Jerry these are some beauties!! I really like the tripled F, great buy

Thanks Terry that's a great link.

I've just bought a 1904 penny that doesn't quite look the same as the normal variety, or even the unlisted 'slanted 4' variety that has since been found. Here are some pictures, notice the gap between the tip of the 4 and the exergue line and also the position of the bottom serif on the 4. Any comments appreciated as usual. 1st = My penny 2nd = Normal variety 3rd = Slanted 4 variety

Haha yeah, they're becoming difficult to assign, I spent more time doing the 1882 than I did on the whole of George VI! Send 'em my way, my thinking is to add everything in one place so you can make your own decision on whether it is something you want to collect or not. Different people call different varieties different things, so I'm trying not to exlude anything at all! And happy Christmas to you too Pete. I get the feeling that not everyone shares your opinion but I would be a fool to lurk in the shadow because I learn so much on this site every day

He's that type of guy, Pete. Responded to me within a few hours over a query I had about my F69, a year or so back. Top bloke. If you remember from the other thread too, he also signed his Gouby book for me before he shipped it!

Yeah was really quick to reply, always very helpful.
