    Ebay's Worst Offerings

Has anyone else seen this -click and collect- from your local Argos that ebay offers now? Has anyone used it and is it pretty much as says on the tin?

    Predict The Grade (again)

Did you expect the 1899 to get finest known? A nice surprise if not!! Some cracking grades there.

Nice. Indeed all of my work colleagues bar 1 or 2 are Catalan which is great fun!

Neutral feedback, do you leave it?

This one has come up a few times recently, putting tape directly on a coin is such a no go and it pains me when I see it. Definitely one that they must learn from, it almost renders the coin as 'item not as described' as deserves a refund, if it's worth the inconvenience.

Thanks a fun day at work!
  8. By the way that's a nice write-up Kal, a great bit of reading for anyone interested in Irish gold.
  9. It's an 1892 Bob, it would be extremely interesting if you had an example with the same flaw!
  10. It's got to be the first for me. To be honest though, it looks as if the former is too bright and the latter too dark, perhaps a middle ground will get the best of both worlds?
  11. I need a second opinion please. Does this look like a striking error/strike through or just damage? Theres also the nick at 3 o'clock going through the legend.
  12. It does look post mint, it certainly took a massive whack to that 5!

A rummage in the loft with the wife

It might be sunny here, but it's still bloody freezing outside
  14. Looks post, like Bob says it's probably a knock/dent from hitting something, we'll see from the closer pics though!
  15. Purchased the hardback for at home , and the Kindle version for my tab when away from home... Good man, I'm sure that will be appreciated too.

    LCA Dec 2015

Absolutely horrible. Thanks all, I know of the no colon after D variety but I'd never heard of what they've described, but makes sense if it's just a mistake.

    LCA Dec 2015

Can anyone else actually see the D:G that they're referring to as the variety? They says it's missing the colon dots after the G in D:G but I can't see anything.. Link
  18. Strangely enough I've found one with the V starting to fill in before the N! Here's the V, and the N is as is.

    Error 2014 10p in BUNC

I'd delete that email and pm it directly Dan or you might find yourself with a lot of spam
  20. I think because of the sheer number of people checking every 1903 or 1911 for a gouby x that your only hope to get one for a quid is to gamble on bad photos! But yes, I've bought many an under £5 coin for it to be nothing. All good fun
