    1918 KN pennies

That's a nice example, Cliff. Can we see the whole reverse too?
  3. Nordle11

    help!

It says 1723 in the title though?

    Another Hoard Found

Damn that's like 10 minutes from my house Very lucky find it seems, lots of extenuating circumstances that led him to it.

$60 for that coin, even if there turns out to be no differences, is still a bargain. Nice buy, keep us updated!

    2016 Proof set

They're targeting the people who wait for them to come out I guess, they know how many people buy them when they come out so they've just hiked the price to see what they can get away with.

    help!

You'll need a bigger picture of the reverse. To help too, do you know the weight and the size?

Mwuahahaha Thanks for the double count R, I was sure I'd missed one but I really didn't have it in me to count another time. So Jac, what's up with it? Is it the tail of the 9?

Well it's strange but it looks like something is going on. For example, some of the letters don't quite line up as other 1mm 1895 pennies do (some pics attached) Also, if you feel up to it, I count 163 teeth on that penny and there is 162 teeth on a normal 1895 (but it seems so close that I've probably mis-counted by 1 and I'll be f***** if I'm counting again ) P.S - I used your penny Rash, sorry

Give it a whirl, there are other programs out there that are free but they wont be half as good.

The tail of the 9 is pretty much on a tooth? Also I don't know if it's just crud but there's something on the loop of the 5 and the top of the 8 as well. Is it a 2mm variety too?

Ah not the plastic over the actual coin then, I see. In which case you can do it as easily as using a circle stencile in paint to crop it (not recommended) up to using photoshop to do it exactly. It depends what programs you've got already on your comp, any photo editing software at all?

    1918 KN pennies

Haha We assumed as much. And it really does Pete, it's a pain!

    1918 KN pennies

A perfect example of why too, here is my 1913 which is a nice all rounder, but my god look at that fingerprint in the left hand corner. It was just unnecessary to grab it like that, whoever did it.

    1918 KN pennies

Agreed Paulus, edge only when I'm handling mine. To be fair, this is probably 'low grade' for Rash when comparing to his other coins

Pete, I don't know of anything that'll do that for you that's going to give you something that looks like the plastic was never there. Please someone correct me if I'm wrong though. I do know that the newest photoshop has a tool to remove unwanted things from pictures, but how well it will work on a slabbed coin, I don't know.

    1918 KN pennies

Not just a nice example but also a nice obverse! Thanks for sharing R
  18. Best advice for sure, they'll attribute and market this correctly. Dutchgreener, Accumulator is another penny collector on here and he has an example as well, he is also the best person to talk to regarding these. Here's a link to his profile, send him a PM! Accumulator

They have an Australian number on there too, maybe they're based in Australia but with customer service available in both countries?
  20. Yeah what the hell? The extra e makes it extremely more valuable than the regular ones..

If you ever go to the Midland fair she's always on the London Coins stand, waiting for someone to argue with. Just in case you want to, you know, throw stuff at her or something.

Wow they must be joking right? I'd break that bad boy out and send it to someone else, maybe even send it back to PCGS and hope you don't get the same grumpy b***** again.

Haha maybe we should all get you to call when we have any problems Pete! SWANNY - This is who your number 2 was, she is well known for the same reasons that she left that impression with you!

I said 1926 ME originally but unlike Rash I go for colon after BRITT to tooth, instead of gap, to check for an ME. It's a STONKER though, is it slabbed or just in a capsule? If slabbed, what grade?
