  1. Only 4 years later as well XD While this was up, I just got this today.. Good strike for the year.. Some seriously eclectic toning going on though, and this was just an iPhone picture!

    CGS submission form query

I saw a quote recently in which, when a collector was asked what grade he perceived a coin to be he said, "Am I buying or selling?". Hits the nail on the head really

    CGS submission form query

Yeah, funny that LC grade more conservatively when they're not selling the coin.. Would be interesting to see on a batch of different types and dates

    CGS submission form query

Just thinking to myself, has anyone ever cracked open a slabbed coin and sent it back to see if there's any discrepancy between the first grade and the second?

    LCA - Jun 2015

Lot 2471 has the wrong picture on. Listed as 1886 penny Freeman 186, but has a nice picture of a 1912h up.

One of the better coin dealers on eBay that's for sure..
  12. Mine seems to work fine, although will sometimes hide the threads I haven't looked at if I don't look at them after a certain amount of time, probably a day or 2..

Yeah for sure, I was expecting to pay something just over the 100 mark for a good example. I waited a year for that ´26 so hopefully something comes up soon!

Well there you have it, it certainly would have to look like it just came out of the collar for me to fork over 185 though.. And thanks for the kind words on the '26, it really is top notch and even nicer in hand. I am going easiest to hardest in a way, just working my way backwards from 1967

Wow really, I'd say a lot lower than that, maybe with buyer's premium and tax but that's a hefty figure.. I've seen a few stunners go up to about 125 but not much more. Do they use auction house statistics only do you know?

How much did you pay for it Prax? That one's top of my list at the moment, at least that's one less bidder to worry about..
  20. Your pictures always make me want to start collecting conders/tokens... The designs are always so detailed and beautifully struck, I wish I had the money! Stunning coin, thanks for sharing
  21. Thanks for sharing Mark, I've been getting used to international transfers for the past year and it's not been a great experience I must say.. I'll use them for my monthly transfer this month and let you know how I get on.. hopefully as well as you did!

To be fair, you did add in the 'R' to that name yourself he just said Mr. Sole! But I'm stealing that for future purposes...
