What makes you say it's a forgery Patrick? It should weigh 9.4g with a diameter of 31mm, so giving a bit of leeway for inconsistencies and the wear, I'd say that's about right..

Ebay seems to get very under excited about errors. Can you be optimistic with a price of £5? While I agree that I personally wouldn't pay £5-10 for this type of error, you'd still struggle to find a similar example for less..

Very hard to tell. Gouby's book states 2 known and one was sold in March through London coins. So unless you bought it in that auction the chances are very very slim..
