Just received this back from CGS was graded 82.

Not got a clue Matt as i wouldnt buy them in the first place and have never sent one. If it was an error though i assume it would be graded as normal if damage from the mint and just listed with all the other errors.

Well after going on about the spot the coin was rejected for Field Damage Will look at the coin when i receive it back as by getting coins rejected i learn more than the ones ok. That is one of the reasons i have sent them to cgs ,not just for the grade but the condition. Fortunately i sent another 1918 that was ok and graded 82 so happy with that one . Pete.

Think it might be easier to just PHONE them Scott. When i had a problem a while ago they answered straight away ,they were in Ireland and sorted it out . -

Apologies for the photographs I know not many people are interested in them but can only try on here as unable to identify it properly. It appears solid and although its a bad photo that is the colour, its 4 gr and definately obverse B in the Tony barter book. Just to see if anyone has seen one the same. Pete.

I have not received the coin back yet and so only assume the rejection was for corrosion from the spot. Being familiar with... coin in progress... on the site i am sure its been rejected but the reason only given once put in plastic .

Received an investment catalogue today from stanley gibbons. Needless to say most of it is made up of coins for the first time. But not any copper / bronze pennies in it -
Think ebay is ok if your confident in what your buying. Otherwise full of junk, edited pictures and misdescriptions. I used to spend half an hour every morning but get tired of looking at Rang Tang Just because the dealer is sound and fair does not mean the coin is worth buying.

Sovereign mint lustre
PWA 1967 replied to Conor44's topic in British Coin Related Discussions & Enquiries
Connor ...What you buy has nothing to do with me . I feel you are spending a few quid and unsure what your buying and that could end up costly. Maybe put the handbrake on and do some reading ,learning and ask more questions before the next purchase. Be lucky Pete.- 20 replies
