    Really good post. I am a beginner and getting a bit lost ,however hope you dont mind me getting involved in your thread and asking a couple of questions. Sorry if they are a bit simple ,but thats me We all have to learn somewhere

    Noticed a solid in coin news went for £400 on ebay all sevens. I dont buy them anymore ,but if that was mine would of gone straight to Spink in china

    Its an auction that is done over a week. You make a bid via email / phone if you are outbid you are notified and can have a think if you wish to go higher. Nice way to do things as rather than a coin being sold in seconds and you come away possibly thinking you should of bid again ,you can have a think first. Works both ways and can also......... not get you caught up bidding and possibly paying more than you should have

    I should of mentioned i bought it off ebay,but sent it to CGS as was keeping it and seemed quite scarce. Only low grade but didnt cost much. Pete.

    Sorry but wasnt sure were to put this. A really scarce error ,as very few found in reasonable condition. Bored and just thought i would share a picture if anyone interested in them. Its a Beale £1 1950 . A nice ERROR though as the serial number inverted ,just thought i would share a picture. Pete.

    Lot 3206 Matt. Not really into date widths and not really saying they are rare ,just more obvious. I have an 1889 that the 9 is higher it is that wide could not of been done straight
