Really good find Chris. The numbers as far as 15/16 are a bit dated but still Scarce. Hat off -
Can only comment on the pennies and the seller can be completely out of order with his attribution. The guy sells pennies without H ,mules, rare varieties and all are wrong Also sold KN pennies that have been added.........anyway dont want to disturb him as he is busy in his workshop..........FACT. Infact with some varieties he has sold more than are known to exist. Pete.

Happy to fill a gap on the coppers Think its hard to get one UNC so this will do. 1831 with WW . Its the ex-alderley one Lot 41.
-
Same Guy that has been mentioned loads of times on here. Altered dates ,mules ,missing this and that . He is starting to wind me up and lives near me Was selling KN ,H that were not right infact the only ones i have noted he has admitted to were 1933 altered dates. Tell him what your looking for and he will make you one tonight .

I did say it was a wide open question Rob -
Which would you choose ?.

Unique then yes we have know choice. Think i might be getting to fussy sometimes. I have a Few pennies that are rare F8,F41,Three plumes ETC but minor faults and when i look at them dont get the same satisfaction as one BU even if its a common date. Just makes me think sometimes........Quality/Rare.... think the answer is sometimes better to have one with a fault rather than not have one at all -
Which would you choose ?.
PWA 1967 replied to PWA 1967's topic in British Coin Related Discussions & Enquiries
I assume that one is rare Rob ? Therefore is there not much if anything better ?. -
Which would you choose ?.

Yes Gary its a tricky question some i think we just accept the fact we will never get one perfect ,so unless its really horrible just buy what we can. It just makes me think if i sometimes would sooner leave a gap or have one lower grade. Anyway time you got escorted to your rubber room......Good night Only Joking Pete
