Just had a look CGS have never graded a 1915 Recessed ear ,as i said its not what is ....but weather they have graded/slabbed one. This is why the finest known is daft. If you sent a problem free washer would be finest known.
-
Not looked but the population report is only for coins slabbed and graded by them. I have just sent a few that are not on there .
-
Yes i have seen it before and not seen anything since that compares ....atleast for sale.
-
That was quick Matt
-
Thanks Jerry they are not that scarce the 1915 Recessed ear is alot harder. Matt has a spare one.
-
Yes Matt as with most of them parts are a bit weak but a tidy coin and happy with the price. Suprising as i mentioned on another thread how varieties are often missed by graders. I know its not an expensive coin but an easy one to spot.

Sorry your the expert and value your opinion ,i didnt want to interupt a thread . I just posted as your comments appeared a bit biased and wasnt sure what you meant. As you state you stick to what you know and are happy with. The thing that surprises me is someone with all your knowledge and never going to sell them for 35 years why you get them slabbed in the first place. Pete. -

The comments are about a coin and thats all. Without experts such as Rob giving an opinion i would never learn anything. Comments should be made and not taken personally ,if i posted a picture of a coin and someone thought it was enhanced i would prefer to know. Better to find out by someone giving opinions on pictures and that way we all learn Alternatively if someone disagrees it really is not a big issue. -

They prefer overdipped,lightly cleaned................Amazing -
Maybe one for you Matt. I know it was mentioned on another post and had happened to you. When i try to post something it brings up a quote from another thread and i cant remove it. Would also just like to say hat off for helping the site to run more smoothly. It might be me (probably) and sure i am doing something wrong . Pete.

Have not got a clue why this post is still here but i cant get rid of it. Good to fill a gap Matt and not a bad one either
-
Thank you for posting. Although i looked at the others and bought the 1916 recessed ear MS 66 off the same seller. Daft really as have a couple but thought it looked a nice coin for £85. Pete.

Hi Robert and welcome. Not my thing sorry but the 1967 pennies were the last pre decimal and there are millions of them so unfortunately not really worth anything. Be lucky. Pete.
