I could not agree more, how did your professional photographer get on, any results to share yet? He isnt a professional Paul just a keen amateur. Just a nice bloke who has retired and lives nearby,he took about 130 (ones i dont need to upgrade) and was sorting them out . Told him there was no rush so just wait to here back from him. They will certainly be better than having none -

Yes i recognised the CGS one but thought you had done the others. Think the pictures if you sell any make a big difference and worth spending the time to get them right. Sure you will get them to a level you are happy with. -

Big HAT OFF paul not only nice coins but nice pictures . -
Thank you for your replies. I asked the question prior to a guy taking some pictures for me yesterday . Fortunately he has in his opinion already something that will do the job although when he told me all about it went over my head. I could not believe the amount of equipment they use just for a photo of a coin. He had tripods ,lights ,umbrellas, big silver sheild things and took over all the lounge for the afternoon. Pete.

That seems out of order ,although people must buy them .
-
Thats a long time Paulus to wait six weeks without them even starting.
-
You have got me with that one Gary ?.
-
I have never used any so wasnt sure. So i assume photoshop is something i can just download. Thanks Matt will have a look and give it ago.
-
They show up a lot more aswell Matt if the coin has good lustre.
-
The pictures are spot on its to just put around it if i have not explained myself very well. I notice some pictures have the slab chopped out with a background.
-
Thought my question was better put on here. I am currently having my collection photographed and all the raw coins are not a problem. Unfortunately quite a lot are in slabs and hoped someone could help advise me on any software to chop the plastic out. Thank you if anyone can help please. Pete.

Penny Model 1 error (extra E)
PWA 1967 replied to Dutchgreener's topic in British Coin Related Discussions & Enquiries
Yes what i meant is the description they give it and the fact they grade the inner part and leave the rest. I understand now why ,never having bought one or even looked at them before i was aware of the error one you have. Will people look at Krause or just see it as a normal one i dont have a clue how many people know what X10 is. I assume your reliant on the auction company doing a full picture and putting it in the description. Good luck selling it and hope you get what you want . -

This is the problem Dutchgreener, when i put the UIN in the PCGS site it brings up the details of your coin. The picture though is not the same one and X#10 is described as the standard 1844 model penny. Maybe its me as have had similar problems when i have been on the site previously and you could have a check yourself. Nice coin anyway and was a good buy especially at the price you got it for. Pete. -
There is some on ebay at the moment but terrible.

Just spoke to her. Its not a race you can walk round if you want . If you cant manage an obstacle you can miss it out, think its more to do with getting enjoyment out of the day. Obviously as anything a lot take it seriously but there is no pressure just lots of laughing and encouragement. Sure you will have a good day. Pete.
