Yes Mike . The i reverse is scarce and only on both F69 & F76. i REV Wide date with H below. Sea does not cross linear circle Taller straighter helmet with plume closer to rim. These are the three i use and if they are right then is scarce 😊 The OBV will be either F69 OBV 6 or F76 OBV 7 OBV 7 is the old head. Sure like other coins people use different indicators but the date is a good one as will show even if its a .....Washer If you cant see the date properly throw it in the bin. Pete.

1893/2 Penny
PWA 1967 replied to Unwilling Numismatist's topic in British Coin Related Discussions & Enquiries
None of those are Kev ,sorry i have not got a good clear picture that would help to show you properly ,plenty of them in low grade though. If you were checking a BU one it would be much easier to spot 🙂 Going back to the other thread probably better to spend time on ones worth looking for as even if you find a 1893/2 in that grade nobody will want it . Maybe someone will have a clear picture for you to make your own opinion on them 😊 -

That was well spotted Richard 😊 -
Put them in groups by year if your not sure what to look for then go on Richards rare penny website. If your still not sure of any indicators then post on another thread and hopefully people will help you 😊 All the washers you see selling have been found or spotted by someone ,so it might be you if you go to the trouble of having a look. you make your own LUCK 😎

It looks like a blank with the date on 😂 Sorry i dont know how to put the pictures on but have a good look Kev as R17 will be hard to find in any grade. Pete.

Thats not always the case Blake. My Dad was a miner who was as hard working as most. Living and coming from a mining town near Manchester i remember things being tough even though i was a kid 🙂 -
Its not a colon method Ian its a letter ,if they both match up you can be pretty sure and then the teeth just confirm. I am sure everyone uses different indicators and if you get the right result i dont suppose it matters 😊
-
F10 D in F : D to Gap F13 D in F : D to tooth F10 D in D : G to tooth F13 D in D : G to Gap Then the teeth as Ian mentions F10 143 & F13 138

Whenever i post they keep changing the listing...........Not doing it again 😊

I notice the seller has now added a picture of his own overdate that is not the same coin. He should of used his own pictures in the first place and due to Hibernian has perhaps realised he has been rumbled. Dave groom has got it right............STEER WELL CLEAR 🙂

I dont have a clue as not seen the coin in hand ,although the differences in Gouby Ac and Gouby B were both explained to me by a CGS grader so they do know the difference. I think because the variety is so minuscule i would have to give them the benefit of the doubt and a couple i have had i have only been sure by looking under a glass. Either way the coin pictured is ......Not for sale on ebay ☺️
