Peering into the darkness with R Ingram Coins lol
PWA 1967 replied to craigy's topic in British Coin Related Discussions & Enquiries
Whos coin is that craigy is it on some facebook thing or something else ?. IMO the initials are probably not the best indicator either. Sorry i should of looked at the thread title first They like to use the term WE untill the last sentence....Our coin has been graded NEF -
Worth having a look at and i was only joking but quite a big difference in what he had it listed for
-
He will probably just make another Will
-
This may be a daft question as i dont know anything about them Why did you buy them when other people had given you the opinion they had problems ?. Are they scarce, hard to find or were they just cheap ?

March 2018 LCA
PWA 1967 replied to 1949threepence's topic in British Coin Related Discussions & Enquiries
i was surprised how much some items sold for Mike. Maybe in general people have bigger budgets in March ,rather than Dec being Christmas and June for the holidays at LCA. Probably not -
The plus side of ebay is there are coins of all denominations ,grades and varieties to suit everyone and there budget. It also gives us the opportunity to have a look at different coins for sale 24 hours a day a lot of which dealers would not bother putting on lists such as the cheaper ones that thousands of people are happy to purchase everyday.I have a look often and sometimes i spot something sometimes i dont , but i dont have to move out of the flat to have a look .It was exactly the same when i was always in Spain as apart from one shop in Gibraltar there was knowere else to have a look at them.Yes there is a lot of RANG and pictures can be deceiving , we probably factor that into how much we are prepared to pay. More often than not the best coins of a decent grade and condition are from dealers you can trust IMO and for that reason i am happy to pay a BIT more

I have a mate called John who may be interested in those -
I am glad you have some big mates as i can use them for a warm up. You can have a go at me as much as you want, but not any need for that language. Also remember us northeners are not bothered how big someone is very few stay standing when they are done with a claw. Behave yourself. Pete.

Thats a good one Blake and in with some others was a top find

Your getting very brave typing on your keyboard and using a vile word like that. You are extremely lucky on this occasion that you did not say that to my face as i would of knocked you farther back than John the baptist. I suggest you sort your head out as your a disgrace to yourself and obviously some form of low life scum.

Wind your neck in You might be interested to know Peter i bought some farthings at the weekend But sold them to a forum member today

Hat off Jerry and glad you bought it. Yes we dont like sweet talkers and they piss me off aswell Dont be moaning about the weather its not cracking flags here either Have a good time. Pete.
-
A bit more of a safety net via an auction house Blake and the chance to view the coin in hand. They dont all sell for less than half
-
Plenty people saw it i am aware of ,infact me and another forum member discussed what it would sell for as soon as it was listed and before a bid was made. The day after a couple of people had picked up on it probably because it was showing at around £150 . If you have one or dont want one better to let someone else have it Unless its a BIN thats cheap of which i would buy them straight away

I dont think this seller should be encouraged Paddy. The guy has only posted once in twelve months to sell something that is worth two hundred pound less than he is asking. This he is aware of from previous posts and would not like someone oh here or someone who visits the site to feel the coin is being recomended as a good buy.Hardly a contributor to the forum and how do you know you can trust him. We have another thread for this ....The eBay one Sorry if i am sounding abit harsh relaxcraft....but i am just being myself honest and straight. -
Hardly eBays worst offerings and dont see what he is doing wrong , the cartwheel maybe he thought was genuine as sold hundreds of other bits of stuff but only one of them. I am the first one to agree with giving fraudulent sellers a right hook but not everyone as that IMO does not seem fair

PWA 1967 replied to relaxcraft's topic in British Coin Related Discussions & Enquiries
Just had a look and the last time you put the coin on here twelve months ago you wanted £450. So your obviously heading in the right direction. Your comments of "i will take it out of the slab and let it retone for 25 years" seems about right. Only another 24 years to go and sure it will soon pass -
This has gone Thanks Eric and will post tomorrow. Pete.

Didnt you come on here trying to sell the Florin about eighteen months ago ? If not it must of been someone else who had it previously, however the comments will be the same. The florin is way overpriced and unfortunately for yourself the members on here have a good idea of value. To repeat myself from months ago even if the coin was problem free the cgs price is only £50. Your own coin in the opinion of the grading company has been cleaned so will be worth even less. Maybe you are asking a little to much -
Wonder if people just bid rather than donate direct as the coin is Rang and only worth 1p
-
Yes thats the one Peck a big thing in a box It would probably sell on ebay Stuart for £20 all in but not worth anymore Mr Gouby has been selling them for years ,the more expensive one is much better and although only goes up to 1901 all of the dates after are covered in other books.
