-
The power of the forum......or declan has just bought another
-
I was only joking Mike and if declan is happy he can repeat the post all day if he wants
-
declan.......Have you got a nervous twitch or something why do you keep posting the same ?
-
Parcels do turn up of the same denomination that have been put away. About two years ago over twenty 1841 Pennies were all graded highly and were apparently found in paper. This was believable as you could still see print on some as most were full lustre. Oh and by the way........We heard you first time declan........
-
The most important thing is.........What do you think ?. If you could see them in hand and all as good i would probably buy them all........Its ebay and if it goes PETE TONG you only have yourself to blame. The seller has atleast another nine and the one you purchased is really nice but are the others ?.

AN INHERITANCE & MY NEW & RAPIDLY GROWING COLLECTION...HEEEEELP!!
PWA 1967 replied to ThePrepper's topic in Beginners area
As you say in your above post Prep everyone is different and has different opinions weather its grading ,cleaning etc. Its not a case of me or anyone else being shot down on here more to do with someone else giving an opinion . In a lot of cases coin knowledge cannot be learned in a few weeks/years and thats why i am always on here as only been collecting about four years myself. Some on here have been collecting for years .......in some cases lots of years One thing i will add is copper pennies are best left alone (although suffer the most problems IMO ) as almost everything you do will show from my tests over a few months a couple of years ago. I just buy ones i am happy with and prepared to pay more..........although not a lot more Be lucky and keep smiling. Pete. -
Yes they will weigh less but would not of thought that much maybe a gr but am only guessing. Sure someone may no ,why is it realevant if the coin is only fine is it one thats copied ?.
-
A quick look and should be 14.1gr and the same for every year. What does yours weigh ?.
-

Baldwins of St James Catalogue for May 15 Auction
PWA 1967 replied to Paulus's topic in British Coin Related Discussions & Enquiries
Yes i got one yesterdayand a well put together catalogue and probably the best i have seen. It does make me wonder how cost effective it is as there is nothing in it for me and must cost a few quid. Its a shame really as mine has gone in the bin.......maybe i should not of said that as they probably wont send me another . I have told them previously though what i buy as dont want them just wasting them and suppose i cant do anymore. -
