  1. I am looking for a coin that has the Edward vii head on as I don't have one, but I like the silver (92%) ones. Does anyone know where I can get one in EF or near bouts for quite cheaply? I don't know what to say price wise as I have no idea, around about £30? Thanks

Outbid already. I am not going to bother, I appreciate you helping me on the international listings Paulus, they seem to go cheaper elsewhere. I will keep my eyes peeled and if you post links then they will be really helpful.

    Edward Vii Half Crown/florin

I think ideally I would like 1902 crown ticks 3 boxes: silver, Edward and dragon design. EF Is marked at £70 which I guess I could spend but on ebay EF goes for £160+! If any other member is willing to sell a 1902 half crown in EF then I will buy! Thanks

Or on second thoughts do you think I should get the 1951 crown for the dragon design, but a florin for his head?

Thanks, what about the crown? I am guessing that is much more but I like the dragon design. Do you know where I can get crowns?

    1937 Crown

Really thinking of buying this But I am worried if it has been dipped, cleaned or polished, do you mind taking a look and telling me if it has? (the dark round the lettering) Also what grade do you think? Thank you all 1937 crown.doc

    1937 Crown

I will take it to the states and get it graded there, maybe they will be a bit more lenient!

    1937 Crown

The reason I bought this one is that on other crowns above the cross on the crown there a 3 dots, on all I saw they were worn but on this one they wont which suggests it had no wear.

    1937 Crown

The most important thing I like to think is whether you like it not other people and I like this one. But I still hope the scratch wont devalue it too much if at all.

    1937 Crown

The scratch at 4 o'clock wont mess with the grading too much will it? It doesn't matter I bought it - my first crown from my favourite year!

    1937 Crown

Yes pies it was that one. It looks so nice with no wear that I can see.

  22. Hi I recently got kicked out of a coin forum and was suggested to go to a British one. So here I am. Anyway I recently got a 1862 penny for £15, I will post pictures and I was wondering what you think? In other news I am on the look out for a 1853 or pre 1853 young head penny however eBay seems to stock worn, cleaned and very rarely 1840s dates. I was wondering if anyone knows of another online site which may stock coins at a reasonable price? An alternative to this is me to check eBay every now and again and post a link to the coin here so I can for help whether it has been cleaned, has verdigris or edge knocks etc. As I have no experience. Would anyone mind me doing this? Thanks

1862 Penny? What Do You Think?

Yes accumulator your collection is amazing! I hope my 1853 penny arrives safely and doesn't have one spot of verdigris, but if is does can the distilled method work?
