A peaceful new year to all

Happy new year everyone. My very best wishes to you all.

    C19th/C20th Mule Halfpenny.

If you've correctly identified it as a 'Woolies' type, it will probably be a few years old at least. You'll notice its undated. I'm beginning to think it may be some kind of elaborate fake…...
  6. 'ACCUSE me of being a Mancunian'? Heavens! I may be from God's own city but I'll always be happy to stand shoulder to shoulder with my brothers and sisters across the way . What's wrong with being a Mancuian?….
  7. Chin up old bean. If you've been good in this life, maybe next time you'll be born in Liverpool . (Just pulling your leg)…...

    1745 Shilling Overdate ?

There are people on here more qualified than I am to answer this one……

    1745 Shilling Overdate ?

Hi Arthur. My 1745 Lima shilling has the same overdate (attached).

    A/UNC 1754 Farthing

The reverse certainly looks to have wear on the high points, doesn't it. Nice obverse though.
  11. RS do a wide range starting at £1.19 + VAT for a box of 250, if that helps. For anyone desperate to fill their home with kilos of useless metal this must be nirvana!
  12. But its not good. Its washers. Washers for washers prices. Nothing clever. Nothing a bargain.
  13. Peckris: Pffft. If it wasn't for the port of Liverpool you'd still be eating moss. You tell 'em Chris!
  14. What are these luxuries you consider to be exclusively yours but have been stolen from you by the people of Merseyside? Twopenny washers?
  15. I'm 'ex' Liverpool. Been in South West Wirral for 20 years.
  16. Sirloin? Goose? Posh git! I thought you were from Liverpool? True! but it's Crimbo! Nothing's changed Peck. Scousers have always sourced their luxuries in Manchester. Just a quick trip down the East Lancs. Not in our house. Drop the first three letters and you'd be correct.

    more FAKES

I wonder quite what they were expecting. Low feedback seller from China, selling via German eBay. Doesn't get more iffy than that. Indeed. One born every minute etc….

    more FAKES

I see two people leaving feedback state the coins they received are fakes.

    one penny 1921 and 1967

Yes. They look dipped. Unusual, but nothing rare.

A couple of bits and bobs for sale!

Hey, get bidding, you might get lucky again and win yourself a lovely entombed piece of copper? I'll have to wait and see what I have left once all the Christmas prezzies have been paid for .

A couple of bits and bobs for sale!

PS: Cost me 40 quid, but I was lucky.

A couple of bits and bobs for sale!

Some nice things on there Stuart. No doubt I'll be chancing my arm... Here's a thing worthy of debate though: (TPG alert! No reflection on your good self.) The 1674 farthing you've listed has been slabbed at AU55. Attached are images of one of my 1674s. Not quite as good as yours, but not far off. I posted this on the forum a few months ago and general opinion graded it at Fine to Near Very Fine. The TPG debate rumbles on……….
  23. Happy birthday! There have been quite a few on here this week .
