I,ve bookmarked it anyway for future reference. Maundy coins and everything in there!

Did you create an account with them Stuart? If there detail system is as dodgy as their coins, i would be disinclined to give them any info.

An unusual strike on an 1867 Queen Victoria Penny. ....does it make it more valuable...or less valuable due to the die crack running through it? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1867-VICTORIAN-PENNY/272869541228?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649

This seems a bit excessive. ... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Rare-1983-New-Pence-2p/302474701907?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649

Perhaps i,ve had a lucky escape then!! Although i did search the internet and forum for replica 1850 shillings and it came back with nothing. Someone could make thereself a fortune if they brought out a yearly book with up to date forgeries.

Heres a lot i thought about until it crashed through the £700 barrier . Maybe it was still a good buy but its goobye from me!! ? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/4-X-Victoria-Shillings-1850-1889-1890-1893-beautiful-condition/332399137923?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649

Hi Rob. Would you happen to have a 2017 coin price guide for sale which would include these overdates?
-
Thanks Rob. I use Tony Claytons price guide for advice which is handy. He only had a 1750/6 shilling listed. I did wonder why they would only change the last digit right enough. One for the collection at £26. I seen an Edinburgh capital cities £1 sell for that this morning. Whats the world coming to??? ?
-
Here is another purchase i made from ebay at the weekend. It was advertised as a 1750 shilling. Over 6?
-
The price of those £1 coins have ben selling for £20+ since it was announced on the BBC national news yesterday, that they were going out of circulation and that the Edinburgh capital cities was rare. He also mentioned a set could end up going for £36+ Hope this explains it.
-
Zookeeper. ..with that grammar on the 3d, i could have minted it in a past life. ???
-
Thank you Rob . Wasn't quite sure as the price guide mentioned unbarred A's plural. And there are a few other letters blocked as you mentioned. I will treat as the common kind until such a time as i uncover a better example. Your quick response is very much appreciated. Regards.

Its great what a mention on the BBC news can do for the price of the capital cities £1 coin. They have more than doubled in price overnight. Wish i had bought a few when they were £6. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2-x-Edinburgh-2011-1-coins-one-pound-coin-Capital-Cities-series-rare/222662798390?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649

Here is another i purchased from ebay. Would this be the scarcer unbarred A in Maria variety of threepence or just a weak strike?
-
Those free listings are a nuisance. ?
-
Lol no offence taken Stuart. Your advice is always appreciated. ?
-
Thanks Stuart.

Here is a 1723 crown which i purchased today. A fine reverse but not so goodobverse. A bit suspicious though as i was the only bidder and i think it sold too cheap. Couldn't find any replicas of it. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Milled-coin-1723-Crown-Extremely-Rare-not-hammered-silver/172886824233?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649

I remember a couple of years ago purchasing them for £20 and thinking that was expensive. I,m always tempted to buy them in quantity as they on average increase in price by about £3 a month. But i,m scared the bottom falls out the bottom of the market for them and i,m left with £6.50. Surely they cannot sustain this price increase indefinitely.

Just check out this sellers attempts at cleaning coins. He has taken a brillo pad to most of them. Not a pretty sight. ? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1916-Lovely-British-Silver-Coin-One-Florin-GeorgeV/282663757622?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649

This has to be a record for a Kew Gardens 50p auction. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Kew-Gardens-50p-Coin-Genuine-2009-Rare-Collectible-Fifty-Pence/222656564172?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649

I take it from the description that this coin is a fake? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Swimmer-aquatic-swimming-fifty-pence-lines-error-rare-50p/152709914795?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649

I usually use Tony Claytons price guide for coins and find him quite reliable. ..and free off course. Is he totally off the mark with the value of this 1845 Queen Victoria penny or is it the description people are bidding on? ? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VICTORIAN-YOUNG-HEAD-COPPER-PENNY-COIN-DATED-1845/122714575820?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649
