    CGS - A customer-facing business?

If you want to grade PCGS it is in my opinion. This 1879 penny has problems with the shield and is weakly struck around the second N. Obverse lettering and parts of the date are faint in places, colour is bad and has carbon spots. But the coin is happily graded UNC 80. What a joke!!!!

    CGS - A customer-facing business?

I would be careful about CGS. They are not an independent grading body. Too many people have complained that they under-grade third party coins and over-grade coins they sell on. How on earth is this an Unc coin http://www.londoncoins.co.uk/?searchlot=2948&searchtype=2&page=Catalogue
