Look at this est £100-£160 all fake nobody is safe anymore. this particular set of coins does the rounds in every auction online. repro's not even good ones
-
I don't know where you find these as the auctions are all the same whatever platform you use. T & C everytime. we do not accept payment over the phone it is so annoying. James & sons used to take payment over the phone they no longer allow it. ewbanks no longer accept cheques but I don't have a cheque account so don't affect me. Online secure I guess that's not a problem same as ebay kind of set up. Arthur johnsons no longer accept phone payments. It just gets so bloody tedious having to wade through the terms trying to find payment methods. I guess by secure they probably mean you might not be the owner of the credit card. Phone up and pay with A.N.Other . Can't see it myself. you have to register your card with the online platforms before you can bid. The only thing they could be concerned is if the delivery address is different from the owner of the cards address.?

Crotchless ones are unless you are in Brighton

If you run around the street in america in your pants nobody would blink an eyelid but Do that in the UK you would be arrested for indecent exposure
-
I guess two of the more controversial ones would be Fanny and Fag. Which is quite funny in the sense of when you hear the sentence " Could I bum a fag of you please mate" Certainly open to interpretation that one. Said in the wrong country could end up the cause of a fat lip. The bum part refers to a tramp/bum (down and out) don't have any cigarettes because I am skint

I just had a look on Locke & England and this kind of practice really gets under my skin. putting descriptions as "Possible Chinese dragon dollar coin" with est £80-£120 . It either is or it isn't and how can you put an est on something that is more than likely to be 99% fake of £80-£120. There is also other chinese coins and english all with high est with the erroneous title of "possible" . This kind of thing shouldn't be allowed. Should be verified authentic or it stays out of the sale

thanks Paddy. I am a member of the saleroom.com its just a portal to the auction world where I can see any online auction /cat/proxy/ in the world. I have used it many times and always paid via CC after the bill of purchase arrives in my in box. But a lot of the online auctions now do not accept payment by phone. in fact i have not found 1 in over a year. I guess i'll just have to troll through the T&C until I find one but as usual when you get to that part its as ever the greyest part of the T&C. but cheers appreciate the feedback

The only time i recall fall ever being used was to remember when the clocks changed from Winter to British summertime but not used in the same meaning as in autumn . Just something we were taught as kids to make it easier "spring forward" "fall backwards" but I have never heard anyone use it but I am sure there are many . When you hear the weather people they always refer to the seasons as in the traditional sense with the usual phrase of "autumnal evenings" but never fall

Well P and I are there which makes it VF+ min so US cross over is AU55 but not our AU far from it. Doesn't have much eye appeal that's for sure and its picture through plastic which never flatters coins. I would pass over it though not the greatest specimen . I bet in the hand it is a different looking coin?

you know what pisses me off the red star and 2015 rating might as well be 1 or 99000000000 it means nothing when idiots are selling crap like that. I guess having a red star means they pay ebay even more money so they are free to lie at will.?
-
Well that's just typical yanks for you aint it. they take something from someone else and try and convince everyone they invented it. It's our language leave it alone. Without us Brits the world would be nothing today.
-
Ok I meant to say we have our own language in essex and it is recognised as such. My Mother was watching some old movie the other day and even though they were all with cockney accents they were more polite and understandable than folk are today.

I know there are small dates and large dates but is that in the width or the make up? See below the small date as in narrow date 10 teeth has large numerals with a very big 1 and the wider date has 11 teeth and smaller numerals

Excuse me I hail from a county which has its own Dialect I am allowed to say gotten
-
I think what has happened is the pictures the guy supplied were from scans so naturally the coin will show no detail and he prob had it on black and white. How many times do we say ignore pictures as they never tell the true story for a multitude of reasons. One day it will register in my noggin Pictures LIE. lol

Hi chaps can I get a few opinions on this crown. One of the guys on the FB group was looking to sell it and asked for a valuation. I said its a knock off for obvious reasons well they are to me. All the leaves are wrong just really thick and clumsy that left plume inside the crown is nothing like a plume. there's lots of little things but it to me very crude on workmanship and looks like a typical coin aged to look worn although nothing really is worn. I have put it alongside an LCA coin for comparison . thanks

lol that bites

No no still going in there. I still have stragglers waiting to come from abroad. Sadly most go back. I don't know what it is with these europeans they will polish and clean absolutely everything. I have even on one occasion not bothered opening the letter as I could already smell the duraglit when the posty handed it over lols waiting for a real lowball penny that might be an F14 and a half penny unlisted 1737/5. But I doubt i'll be able to refrain from the odd speculative purchase
-
Arrived today pleased as punch actually called one right for a change lol. 1950 proof sixpence was just advertised as a normal one. Bargain radar alarm went off. was for pennies so karma has returned am in that happy place once again.

It's probably Trump he has gotten wind of the WWI bust up in the off topics. He is more than likely trying to get a few tips
-
Just an update the coin weighs 27.86g the guy is taking it to a dealer today. Let's hope it's the real deal
-
nope not at all. i'll just stop coins altogether. I don't trust what I see in the marketplace anymore . Full of scammers and even the dealers try to palm you off with cleaned junk or polished discs. Just getting a little sick of it tbh. I can count on 1 hand decent sellers. The rest just sell at over inflated prices for junk coins. Going to box it all up put it in the loft and let the kids go through it when I pop my clogs. Like what Sky bet says "when the fun stops STOP!" lol

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1825-UK-Great-Britain-6-Pence-KM-691-Silver-Sixpence-NGC-MS63-George-IV/381687103789 I have never seen a 5 with a ball end that a 6 has looks like a collapsed 5/6?
-
yes thats kind of worrying me even more as it has that same flaw on the center of the reverse same thick leaves and non existent hair braiding?
