Catalogue is now out ...............

Good luck. I was watching this coin but it did not look like a open 3 to me. I might be wrong for you know what ebay pics are like.

Nice
-
Damn Pete you beat me to that reply
-
On a more serious note. I think it is a type. There is meant to be a colon after the F:D like F:D: The colon after the D is missing
-
Is that not the point? That they are not there

no

Had that in my watch list Gary was coincidence i bought the one off Neil a day or so before or would of probably cost you a bit more . Thank God Show us your beauty sometime. Also may I suggest you do what Rash and Steve have done. It would be nice to see another site showcasing some real bronze beauties.

The top curve does not agree with an open 3. The bottom does though

I thought I might have one for you Michael, but it has the sea showing on both sides, so I guess it isn't the F69.... I got mine from a forum member and I wanted the other that he had for sale and he mentioned Pete wanted it. So I guess Pete has the other for the bloke had 3 in total and he kept 1 for himself. One also sold in the recent Spink sale. It was in fair grade and went for around £850 with buyer's premium. I am made to believe there are fewer than 10 of this type around so it must be a very rare coin. London coins seem to have sold more 1861 6 over 8s than the F76. Good luck with your hunt.

With bronze it is till 1866 I am made to believe (as per Gouby). -
No as Rash points outs its a normal 1mm penny

Well done!! Exactly my thoughts but I dont have the baby as yet Pete. The tail was another factor else it was nothing special for $60. I will post my findings if I find anything strange.

Been busy on the farm. Some of my hay bags had split so had to work overtime. Still catching-up on the posts. The new obverse is a wow.

Testing myself on Freeman Varieties

Looks right to me -
F8 and 9 are mules so f10 must be the 2+D (2 will be the LCWYON on the shoulder with the gap between the rose and the end visible) f13 must be 3+D where gap is not visible and LCWYON is marginally lower in comparison to obv 2.
