    Picard posted a topic in Beginners area

    Hi, i recently took up metal detecting as I was advised by my GP to get some excersies. it was either jogging or Detecting. I am looking for a good book to give me an idea of what I am finding, coin wise that is not 7 up cans. I keep coming across the name Freeman and his numbers, but judging by a post on here his work may not be what I am after. Can you suggest a good book that lists a good selection of old coins and what I should be looking out for, (unusual stuff). Thanks
