I think in BU grade the value it is about 400-450 euros.It is the easier date of all Canada mint sovereigns...

I think Marsh to his book says that is scarce.About 2.500.000 items minted.I thing it is a very strong VF coin.Unfortunally this photo dosn't show very well the loustre and this is important for the value. However these coins under 1830 you must not pass them.It is very scarce coins... -

I often wondered as a farthing collector if the 1859 Ansell variety dies had ever made the transition to the farthing world like many other sovereign dies at the time...unlikely I know, but I would have liked to have ruled it out. Is there any information out there to clarify one way or the other? Very interesting question dear Colin....

I understand that you don't like very much the grading on TPG's. Dear Peter i like very much to collect gold sovereigns on high grades.But i like very much also some coins to send to NGC/PCGS for grading.I like the slabs very much.Remember also that 80% of my collection is raw. One more point is that i am sign up toy NGC's registry of collector society.. (sorry my friends for my english)
