Thanks Pete, Coins arrived safe and sound as always. Cheers Brian

To be honest if it wasn't for Richard's penny page I wouldn't have worked it out. I had missed the extra Leaf!!!
-
Reverse. THINK I MAY HAVE SORTED THIS OUT. Now looking again I think it is just the common a garden J + d
-
Managed to get a day to myself so started sorting out my Bun Heads that I have so far. I found this 1861 which I think is a Gouby E +d but wanted to confirm if I was right. Any help appreciated. Thanks

Came across this nice unusual error. Nothing exceptional but different. 1962 Penny -
Will be great addition to my sons collection. He was born 92 so I have bought him nearly all of the coins of that year.

Obverse

I know I worked out its a farthing so not the right place, but thought I would keeop continuity and post my own photo's of the Lords Prayer coin. I have been given a chunk of cost back as a partial refund for the initial error made so am a lot happier. As Rob stated above the smaller canvas does add to the skill involved!!!!
-
It was posted under the penny section. See what you mean Matt. Hadn't picked up on that!
-
Well coin arrived today -- not a penny but a farthing!!!!! Not overly happy. Waiting to see response from seller. Still a great piece but not what I would have bid on if I had known.
-
Not something which will appeal to everyone but I had to add it to my collection. A piece of social history, trench art. Adding to the adage For God, King and Country.....the Lords Prayer on an early George V penny. I am not religious just admire the time and effort taken. Not my photos so sorry for quality.

2*A is the only one I need too. Not as easy to find as the others!!!!
-
Think this shows the fields and detail better
-
Obverse taken against a grey background. Shows a bit more of its condition but still much better in hand. Just trying to get my photos right!!!!
-
Quick query. Bought this 1934 penny. It is a beautiful dark brown has seen a bit of circulation but seems to have almost glass like fields. I have tried to photo it the best I can but the photo's dont do the coin justice. Anyone any idea's regarding its finish, etc..

Glad I wasn't the only person looking!! I thought the I to BRITT looked fairly close but wasn't 100%. Couldn't make out the I to IMP. Also I did note looking at many of the other Gouby X that the colons after IMP seems to point to a space which it seemed too, but maybe wrong. Glad though as I don't feel as gutted now

Hi Folks, Got caught up with this one as I thought it maybe a 1911 Gouby X. Is it or isn't it........was it a member who bought it? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1911-George-V-penny-nice-grade-/131755723944?_trksid=p2047675.l2557&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEDWX%3AIT&nma=true&si=zg2d9oCe7BASOeGejSRm3tYA4ms%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc Really curious but out of funds for a chance buy!!!
