Might be worth asking the seller for better pictures Mike?

I was going to say 8. I haven’t seen the other photo, but the nostril looks shallow and the legend not as thick as obverse 9, to me. 🙂

That would be my view. 🙁 -
That’s a nice one Pete, can you post the obverse please? 🙂

So are his RM trials.

I used to be scared of spiders, a phobia I inherited from my parents. But I once kept scorpions, and by extension tarantulas. The worst I kept was a Pterinochilus murinus, known in the pet trade as an OBT - Orange Bitey Thing. The sod could teleport, I tell you, and it had to go. I had a cool Uvicularia metallica called Lars though. After that your common or garden Tegenaria gigantea seems a bit tame. Dysdera crocata has a much better set of fangs.

I’ve heard that these huntsman spiders have been deemed responsible for human deaths, although not from envenomation. Apparently when you leave your car with the windows open in hot weather they’ve been known to climb inside and find somewhere nice to hide, like behind the sun visor. When you drive home and make the turn into the setting sun, you flip the visor down and it drops into your lap causing you to panic and crash. Any truth or just urban myth? Atrax robusta is a nasty piece of work, from what I understand.

Congratulations. Looks a decent example. Out of idle curiosity, if you don't mind me asking, did you mysteriously get it for your maximum bid? -
I've been known to spend an hour looking for an F169 without remembering to check for the dot.

Guaranteed genuine mate. Santa Claus it is.

Were both unattributed Pete?

Now show us the difficult side...

Not convinced this is F164a. Hard to see the alignment of the colon after BRITT, but the II of VII don't span two beads. LCA lot 2544 Auction 156. Any thoughts? http://londoncoins.co.uk/img.php?a=156&l=2544&f=r&s=l

At least it’s not a F174 like my last F176 was! 😂 -

F176 Mike. I’ve stopped even looking at reverse pointings as the thin v thick edge is much easier. Thin reverse edge and equal gap between GRA.BRITT = F176. Thick edge and GRA. BRITT = F175. A pleasing £1.84 from the US of A for that one. 🙂 -

Only just seen this Mike - that’s lovely. ebay? Better than mine I think as mine’s got a few scratches that let it down a bit - it was full of muck when I got it. Hat off, as someone here says. 😉
