Can you give us a general idea of what you have? Date range, photos of a couple of the best ones maybe? Someone might be able to give you better advice that way.

Interesting first post grkshef. Welcome to the forum. Someone clever will turn up in a bit and let you know. -
Righto, I'm after a few pointers if possible please, as I'm new to this. There is just one lot I would like to try and purchase. How do I go about it? It doesn't seem terribly clear from the site what I actually have to do to bid. Can someone give me a rough idea please? I promise the lot's not one any of you are interested in. Honest. Cheers, MBE

Console yourself with the thought that you may not have won anyway. The top bid could have been £800...

Standard Friday night entertainment round these parts. Nothing to see here... -

I'm not entirely sure you could class ebay as a sovereign nation but they might as well be.

Thought they were based in Luxembourg or somewhere not subject to UK law?

It does look like there should be something at the top - perhaps a storage drawer as you suggest. It looks like a nice cabinet though - would it be worth taking it anyway and having something made to fill the gap? You could then customise it to suit.

NHS Thank you.

Are we thinking of the same book? It would post for a couple of quid, surely?
-
Rob should be able to sort you out a copy of Davies for the princely sum of about £18.

To be honest, if this was something I wanted I'd be happy with a replica. After all, the original is just a round shiny thing contrived for no other reason than to make money. Leave a nice hole in the album and people will be desperate to fill it.

Have you not got your Betamax plugged in?

In an age when everything is recordable, I don't see how it matters. I'll be in the pub losing at darts so it'll be just nice when I get home.

That'll be why I couldn't find it. ?

Thanks Jerry. Half the battle here is knowing the indicators.

Referring to Richard's site, he says that it's "distinguishable by there being only 5 border teeth from the upright of the R to the top of the I in VICTORIA". How was example 6 identified please? https://rarestpennies.wordpress.com/1881h-f103/
