I can't find it. Where should I be looking?

Oh, that. Well I can see a mark now you've pointed it out. -

I don't see any of what you suggest. -
Just cleaned and a bit horrible for me.
-
I've got a few bits and I quite like them, so yes. Not into notes though. That's quite a large collection.
-
I am quite familiar with the procedure.

The one on the right looks ok to me. The other one, not so much.

That's the thing, isn't it? It's all in the wrong place. Think Ian's suggestion is a good candidate.
-
That doesn't explain the top of the Queen's head and some of the edge lettering present within the hole though.

I don't know unfortunately Ian. It's not mine and I've only seen the one side. Edit: Normal.

Is this another similar fault? I don't think it's post mint. -

Good old ebay. £5.99 all in. -
I had been thinking that we should have an "ebay's best offerings" thread. It's not all bad.
-
Just as well. You can't be my friend on Faceache unless you've been round my house for a cup of tea.
-
Have you signed up then Pete? Do you want to be my friend?
-
Then you should speak up. It's always going to happen: Q: "What's this worth?" <Hmmm, I'd like to buy that> A: "Scrap mate. Fiver tops." <Hmmm, I've no interest in that> A: "Twenty quid mate."

Is it wrong to be slightly tempted? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Defaced-1905-Edward-VII-Penny-with-what-looks-like-an-Owl-on-Skis/132381311148?hash=item1ed28a80ac:g:1m8AAOSwy0JZ7dH4

I wouldn't have an issue if it was described as a fantasy, but it isn't.

I thought the same about this one. The dot, although very weak (and if it is even a dot), does seem to be in exactly the right place. If it's a result of die degradation, it probably starts small, right?
