None of those links work for me Guy.

    Bramah ENGLISH REGAL COPPER COINS

    Yes please Pete.
  3. Display it the other way up, the reverse is the best bit anyway. I'm with the likers.
  4. I hadn't spotted that Pete, I was focusing on the V for U in GEORGIVS.
  5. Think I read somewhere recently that it's since about 1280 or so. Could be wrong mind.
  6. This is about the best I can get of the reverse.
  7. I bought this because I liked the die clash. Obvious on the obverse, particularly prominent between the neck and the ribbon. These are the seller's pictures. Having the coin in hand and a loupe, on the reverse leading up from Britannia's knee I can see (not visible on the photos, sorry) the whole of Victoria's profile. It's clashtastic.

    Egyptian Gold Coins???

Yes, I thought it seemed a bit odd.

    Egyptian Gold Coins???

The other two appear to me to be either ¼, ½ or 1 Memduhiye Altin, depending on weight. The one on the left looks to be regnal year 2, the one on the right, 1.

    Egyptian Gold Coins???

Think the regnal year on the top one is 21. My punt would be at Ottoman Empire 100 kurush, KM#730. The weight should help.

    Helping hand

Sorry Pete, I expect all the gold's been bought by now.

    Adjustment lines or not?

But that's where you'd do it, isn't it? You'd just nick a bit off the edge rather than the middle. Well, I would, anyway.
  13. It certainly is. Even though I suggested a die clash I couldn't quite make it fit, but the rotation explains it nicely.
  14. Looks like a die clash to me. Top of Britannia's legs?

So the rest of us might have half a chance now?

    More Pennies

If it was me I'd be having a refund regardless of the outlay. If I buy a coin I want the one pictured.

    Hi Grade Model Pennies

That would be nice Pete, pop them in next time I buy one of your pennies? I'll keep an eye out for any nice ones I see. Don't send them now, I'm in Dubrovnik.

    Hi Grade Model Pennies

Still a pattern left in the Copthorne Pete.

Help needed capital cities £1 coins

The one place I didn't expect to get a Cardiff and complete my set was at the Midland Coin Fair. Given to me in change by a dealer who had trays of them for sale.
