    Maundy 2 pence

Welcome DrP. There are threads on pennies, and a sales board so you could take your pick.

    Penny Collection: Edward VII

Suspect information volunteered rather than requested!

    I did that too.

    CGS "membership" Fee

I must have just got in in time - only joined recently. I wouldn't pay for it either.

Those links work though Pete - I can see the coins and I don't have an account.

    Help Please To Identify

Should cover the cost of the topsoil. Nice find.
  8. I don't normally take much notice unless they are written in (correct) English. They seldom are.

    Hmmm...best use a spare then.

    Pennies - Edward VII

I also have a set. Not much to write home about because it was mostly collected when I first started - they were cheap and easy to obtain and I wasn't as concerned about grade then. I've upgraded a few recently though.

    Posting and Thank you.

    Got mine today Pete, cheers.
  13. Sorry. I couldn't find one on Colin's site, but think he'll be your man on this one. Although it is in your book....

    Pennies - Edward VII

I read Three Men in a Boat a month or two ago. They made it seem like hard work. How long ago did you lose the sovereigns? Is there a dredging opportunity for those who don't have any? And did you tell the wife what you'd done?

It's not pretty, but what is it?

Sorry, I did get it identified in the end. It's a Philip II of Naples tornese, 1599. Now residing with the person who identified it for me - bit out of my collecting sphere, that one.
  16. Hi all, Any idea what this horrible thing is please? Cheers, MBE

Sorry George, missed this post. I'm informed it's a cornucopia.

£1 silver proof BOX + COA

Not really thanks Pete. Not my thing so only want them if silly cheap; I'd probably end up reselling them at some point. That's why I haggled (I've never quibbled over the price of your pennies ). Someone else will be pleased to have them I'm sure.

£1 silver proof BOX + COA

Well, if you sell them to two different people you've got about £4 in postage so you get £16. You've got a parcel to send me anyway so didn't think it was that unreasonable. A bit unreasonable, yes, but not a lot.

£1 silver proof BOX + COA

£15 for the pair, seeing as you're posting to me anyway?
