I would like a set of these coins if anyone is selling any.
-
I just wanted a Millennium set the same size as the rest. Dave
-
I know what you mean but i know i have devalued it to almost nothing but on the plus side the coins are now in an oblong case and match the rest as i collect sets of every five years 1970, 1975, 1980, 1985, 1990, 1995, 2000, 2005, 2010 and 2015. I also collect queen Victoria coins, 50p coins, £1 coins and £2 coins and yes i know that sounds strange.
-
I have used my rare earth on the coins and it slides down slowly and smoothly with the coin on a 45 degree angle so I guess the silver content could be right.
-
This makes me wonder how genuine my queen Victoria crowns and florins are. Dave
-
Just lately whilst viewing on a large auction site i have noticed that a lot of 50p, £1 and £2 coins seem to have the word "rare" next to them and it makes me laugh especially the wannabe millionaires selling a 50p for £400 as an example.
-
I like it and if i were you i would keep it as i think a lot of work has gone into that. Dave
-
Yes i guess you are right it must be me.
-
I have just paid 0.88p for an excellent WWF 50p and a few adverts down someone wants £55 for one.
-
I live in Staffordshire and to be honest i have had about three and never bothered keep them and yesterday i had another and it is sitting here in front of me.
-
I have got a pretty decent set but it cost me £10
-
Hi Ian my bank is 3 miles away and that would be a way to do it but i think i may have got hold of a set but it may cost me £8
-
People are asking £14 to £18 plus delivery for a set of four capital city £1 coins and the quality is not that brilliant and i would love a set and to be honest it is the only set i have got my heart on but i just cannot get the set. Dave
-
Hi Nordle11 Sorry about that i did not realise. Dave
-
I have put a plea for help regarding capital city £1 coins and both times they have gone.
-
Every time I find a decent Victoria penny coin on the bay I keep getting outbid but I cannot afford pay large amounts. Dave
-
Are £1 piedfort coins hard to sell as i have been having problems. Dave
-
Your joking I have booked a holiday to Babados thinking you were going tell me it is worth about £1000. :-(
-
I have a coin with Madeirensis inscribed on it and the date is 1842 is it just the same as a Portugal ten Reis coin. Thanks Dave
-
What condition is mine in and does it have a value if i put it on the bay.
-
I have noticed on a large auction site that some people are asking extortionate prices like a few thousand on say a £2 coin as the date is missing so are they living on a different planet than me or are they being realistic. Dave

I have missed another Kew gardens 50p
Davethepitch replied to Davethepitch's topic in Beginners area
I will look at it for you everyday -
I thought today i had actually won a Kew gardens 50p and was beaten literally at 1 second left and it was snatched from my very eyes so i guess i need to learn how to snipe or however they do it.

I am being out bid at the last second of the auction but as said above if they settle down I can hang on until one comes at sensible money. -

They seem to go for different amounts according to quality which i understand and as such i have looked at sniping but one site said it needed my details like password so i ditched the idea.
