  1. Hi Welcome back to coin collecting, The method u r using in the oak storage cabinets is great. The wood over the years creates a wonderful natural toning. Usually the coins lay on a small piece of felt which minimizes the cabinet friction. Now if u have a security problem with the size of the cabinet and have to use a safe then the regular cardboard box and paper envelopes are the best. The NO NO is the plastic envelopes and plastic binders with plastic wallets in them. From plastic envelopes u get condensation. J www.petitioncrown.com

    PRICES

Two years ago I thought the prices had reached a peak, wrong again - What is driving prices ever higher?, At what point will we have a cyclical downturn?, The market is getting new collectors interested in the hobby, these people see today’s prices as a base does that mean we are in the continuing spiral upwards? What will make the market take a reverse into lower prices? Jeff

  4. Please help with ideas to improve the description of coins on the internet: complaints: badly photographed coins, out of focus R, C, repro filed of so the coin looks genuine badly described coin graded incorrectly We have to accept that the 'world is flat' the internet is a new tool for communication. It is only the beginning were trade will take place from any place in the world with payments to any place in the world and we will never understand were the goods are coming from. All this you understand, so what is the solution to the above complaints? I often see a coin I would like to buy, but it is buyer beware, now I do not even bother to look at the eBay. I look forward to you suggestions Jeff
