  1. Hello, coin peeps. I work for a small museum, and we are currently putting together our Waterloo commemorative display (200 years! Woohoo!). One of our members brought in a small commemorative coin or medal, about 60mm in diameter -- sorry, I don't have it in front of me -- that appears to be made of stamped leather. Bust of Wellington on one side, date of the battle on 'tother. It has held quite fine detail, but is slightly frayed along the edges. Provenance is "belonged to my brother." I haven't had a chance to photograph it yet, but will happily post a picture if there's any interest. I'm not turning up anything from Google on stamped leather coins or medals and we have nothing else like it. Can anyone shed any light...? Thank you!
