Here's an idea, none of you probably have the time, but here goes....

Plan:

I send you a few sample CCGB2005's, you visit or telephone local bookshops, newsagents, charity shops, mental institutions, supermarkets, hospitals (whatever) and any other place that could potentially sell my book. You offer it to the folks at 35% off the cover price (£3.22), and give them a free book if they sound very interested, tell them they can sell it for £4.95, but to contact you when they want more. For every book you sell (bearing in mind some popular or bigger shops may take 10 or even more) I'll give you £1.00 and send them directly to the buyer (post paid).

Doesn't sound like a lot, but then for a £4.95 book there isn't a lot of room! It won't be easy (believe me I know) and you may have to get used to rejection! Or you may stumble upon someone just like that, who wants 100 for his busy bookshop. I already had a few orders for the book before it was printed, but they certainly didn't all come to me, and i've sold 1500 in a little less than a month (mostly to major book people of course).

Candidates must be smart, friendly and nothing like a double glasing salesman, but a least with a little balls to be firm with the peeps. PM me if you're interested and can spare an hour when you next go down the shops.

Well i'm no good as a rep so i'll turn you down here. They talk me into buying things... i'm a natural buyer.

But i was gonna go to the York coinshop and offer him one and give him your addy if he wanted more.

Chris do you sell your books over here in GERMANY if so I do not know if he will be intrested but

this person in question has his own book shop here in UNNA TELE PHONE NO : 02303-23464 and

here is his website .www. the-old-bookshop.com . Maybe that you could approach him and complete

a little transaction in reference selling some of your books . here in this part of NRW is a very big

concentration of ex- forces personel (BRITISH -FORCES) also a lot of germans use his shop.

Another idea that is you are not already doing it, what about selling the book in german book-

-shops, and also the coinshops might sell it worth a try. SORRY THE PERSON who owns the english

bookshop is a Mr Paul Underwood .

The books aren't really sold here in Germany, I didn't think there would really be a huge demand as they are about something British and in English. Although, I know there are of course people with English connections here, but I just didn't think there would be many sales around. I'll certainly try that number though,

Chris you may find your self being suprised by the intrest in the book try it

at the worst you may have wasted time only by approaching various shops

and then again you may find that you have found a market for your book. ,

that will suprise you.

When I receive my copy Chris (just ordered), I will take it as far as I can to show others in neighbouring towns -

my town isn't too good for small bookshops and definitely NO proper coin shops !!

I asked my wife for a copy of Rotographic 2005 Coin guide for Xmas....she tried in our local Town to no avail.

So Ive ordered a copy (together with the Bank note book) from this website....seems a good deal.
