I'm enclined to partially agree, especially if you're around my age, late teens, early 20s. Older women are just more mature.

I mean when you're 18 or 19 and you have 16/17 year olds as the only young option they are generally very immature. Not all, but quite alot still have this thing about dressing like slappers, telling the bus all their 'stress' and issues down the mobile phone whilst sat at the back, feet on seats making the loudest pops and bags they can with the chewing gum... then when they start realing off who's sleeping with who, and who fanices who... and how they've nothing to wear even though they've just been clothes shopping.

Suddenly, late 20s/early 30s seems the best way to go.

Although admittedly i always preferred women as near to my own age as possible, either exactly or a year either way.

For some reason I always preffered older women... even when I was 15, I used to be asociated with a 30 years old woman, it was only friendship, but for how close we where everyone though we were more than that.

Fitting it is that I married someone 9 years older than me...

Probably the reasons are very similar to what Syl stated.

With regard difference in years between male & female partners - I agree with 'Unknown'. Nine years is just

With regard to the design on the 2005 Sovereign. I wonder just how many people would appreciate wearing

this design in jewellery (I hear you say "Tut, tut"). Just think how many rings, pendants, etc., have been proudly worn in the traditional design. I have to own up to owning a ring, which I enjoy wearing (O.K., seems

SAD now I am collecting coins !), but I wouldn't really appreciate the 2005 design.

You should have seen this place when he'd finished! He'd added the same message to the ends of about 10 different topics and I had to ban his IP address and email him a 'bollocking'!

Now that I've actually got one I can judge for real. The picture doesn't do justice to the real colour, of course, and the lowish relief of much of the reverse seems a bit wasted on a proof coin, but on the whole I think it's harmless. I though the 2002 reverse was harmless too, even though some people objected to that. I still think we should have a genuinely contemporary design - a 21st century equivalent of the rocking horse.
