Recommended Posts

I know I should of waited until I got the grading book but my finger got the better of me at the weekend.

I have now studied the pictures in the book and decided what I think they may be but would like to see what you

Photos not fantastic as taken under led spotlight with camera on phone.

I was leaning towards EF when I looked at them with a magnifying glass but wonder if my grade is too high

You 1896, I'd go for EF/aUNC - nice, but the obverse shows slight signs of wear to the Queen's cheek. The reverse looks great.

The 1891 - could do with a sharper pic, Jon. But from what I can see, it looks pretty close to toned UNC.

I'd agree with EF for the first, a little wear on the cheek and Britannia's leg. Good pictures for your first ones though, took me an age to get to where I am now (no where at all) :D

Missed that. So yes, EF both sides.

Wow I am chuffed to see I am there or there abouts.

Hadn't noticed the leg. Just looked under mag. glass and can't tell if it's wear or lustre. Need to buy a good mag. glass.

They appear to be approaching EF but wear is quite visable.

Value wise they they would struggle with EF.The VH has an edge knock just after 6 o'clock and what is happening near REG on the 91.

Get yourself to a fair armed with a glass/loupe/light

I bought 50+ of similar bad boys to these 10x to 45x a few years back.Sold enough on ebay to pay plus make a profit and still have 40+ left.
