1776 Half penny

Recommended Posts

Hi all. I have what I believe is a 1776 half penny. I know RM didn't mint any but are they a common evasion type. Cheers Dan.

The top tail of the end digit looks like it could be a 6, im not 100% convinced,  but looks too rounded to be a 5?

It is of poor quality but under loop looks like 6. The top of up tail just ends facing up. Pics not great and like you said "looks too rounded".

I believe I have a 1776 half penny. Be interested to know what anyone thinks and what it's worth.
