I thought VS won both of the '05s? -

Without checking my notes I am pretty sure bid on lots 134, 140 and 148, the 02, 05 (I already have an 06) and 10 but only won the 02 and 05.

@VickySilver what lot numbers did they have you down for on the email about your winning lots?

139, 141,142,147

Think I may have got it wrong then & as I have a 1905 already hope you got the one you were looking for, only looking to upgrade a bit. I wasn't really a "player" in this auction! I don't remember bidding on the 141 at all! I didn't so much mind the cleaned '05.

My two have arrived now. Picked them up from the Post Office this morning. Very pleased. Well worth the wait.

It is, Pete. I've been trying to get an F14 for several years. They don't come up that often and when they have, they've always previously eluded me. So to obtain this one so easily, relatively speaking, was a rare moment of triumph. Also pleased with the F74 specimen. Only need the F77 now to complete the entire 1874 series.

Thanks. I reckon the F77 is actually somewhat scarcer than generally thought,  especially in high grade. Although Jerry picked up a nice one recently.

My first chance today to have a look at my new arrivals, very pleased and they arrived already in quadrums.

I hope Mr Copethorne did well out of the sale and just to let him know, the ones I purchased have gone to a good home.

Got my 3 on Thursday and they're all beauties (but they should be - cost me a fortune).

That's a fair amount of money. I hope he enjoys it in good health and spends it before the tax man or some other bugger wants a share of it for whatever reason.

They're up already. The 1932 proof didn't photograph very well as it's in a slab and my 1934 photo doesn't capture the mirror finish - but they are both lovely !
