Help Needed to Sell Coins & Bank Notes

Recommended Posts

Guest Dawn Dobson

Dear Sirs,

I held a Charity event at the weekend for CLIC (Cancer and Leukeamia in Childhood) and was handed a carrier bag containing old Sterling Currency (£.s.d), 3 x 1977 Sliver Jubilee Coins, and books of foreign bank notes.

We would like to sell them to raise adidtional money for CLIC.....................what do you suggest is the best thing to do?

Yours

Dawn Dobson

Dawn,

You should separate the pre 1947 silver coins, count the face value and let me know how many of those you have.

Separate the post 1947 silver coins and all the bronze coins by denomination and let me know how many of each you have.

Then I'll be able to give you a price based on face value, assuming all the coins are average circulated.

By the way, where are you located? As postage costs may be an important factor.
