1903 Edward VII Half Crown

Recommended Posts

I recently saved this 1903 Edward VII Half Crown from a group of scrap silver coins. I saw in the 2014 Spink that it is supposedly worth £200 in fine condition. Is this reflective of the actual value of one in fine condition? Also what do you think this coin would be worth considering its condition is less than fine?

Similar dealer examples appear to be priced in the £80 to £110 range I reckon, before negotiation.  So perhaps £50 to sell and £80 to buy?

Not bad from a scrap find! Did you pay much on the lot?

I paid about 5% over spot price. It was mainly British with some USA as well.

A extra little bonus then, always nice when that happens. Good spot Nick ;)
