Hi, Does anybody know what happend to the onlinecoins website? I remember seeing an item on one of the dealers pages ( Megan) I think, and wondered if it was still going but under another guise ?

The one Andy Bruce used to run?  I think it went. Unless R Ingram incorporated it into his site as he was another of the main sellers. Last time I checked (some years ago) Andy was selling antique furniture...

Shame about online coins,I did buy a few coins and would see Andy at the Midlands. I liked the format although a lot of rubbish never sold and good pictures were rare.I believe Megan emigrated,I think he had a coin shop in Canterbury.

I still occasionally search VCOINS but my favourite dealer (Barry Murphy) has packed in and joined NCG.In the days of old when the £ was strong I repatriated a fair bit of copper.His knowledge was also top notch with ancients.

Megan did indeed have a shop trading as World Coins in Broad Street. The dealer was David Mason and as you say he emigrated (to Spain). I may be wrong, but I believe he may be back in the UK now. He did post on introductory basis on this site somewhere about a year or two ago - maybe with a list of coins for sale, in which case it may have been in the For Sale thread.
