Help!!

HI, I have a simple question really, I have a lot of coins with Cerificates of Authenticity, would they be devalued if I laminated the C.O.A.'s ?? many of them are very small and some are old and started deteriorating.

depends on coins you have , some types have a higher value if certificated while others not…. can you post some images ?

I personally can't see a problem with laminating but I question why they are deteriorating. I have coin tickets (card discs) over 100 yrs old and apart from a bit of foxing they are fine. I would imagine coin authenticity certificates are modern (coins/tokens sold by SOME of the rip off organisations) which are worth diddly in the 1st instance. As Matteo95 suggests examples would assist with further advice.

Its just some of them are second hand and quite old and the COA is a little square/rectangle of paper, want to laminate to reduce further damage but do not want to detract from value of product??

If they have COAs then they are likely to be modern proofs. Sorry to be so blunt but nothing to get too excited about unless you post some pictures.

As Peter says, why are they deteriorating, damp, poor handling? and I'd be more worried about whatever it is damaging the coins. That said if the laminating is done to a reasonable standard I dont think it should matter much.
