I must admit I find this horrible.

This country looks issueing collectors coins  for every 50th 100th or 250 year  anniversary event  for every year from now on -

It looks set to become the isle of man of europe

And how exactly does that differ to the Royal mint? The only thing worse is the daily Google animation celebrating for instance the '166th year anniversary of the death of Frederick Samburgh' ?

I dont really mind the google animations as you dont pay for them and they are not permenent .

The uk stuff (commems) is at least quality designs and not frivilous .

ok 100th aniversary  and 200th are acceptable but i must agree 150 year since birth  is  a poor excuse for a coin issue

There is nothing wrong with the potter designs though , in fact peter rabbits is very good
