1862 Half Penny in horrid condition

Recommended Posts

So here is something I dug up during a bout of metal detecting, of all things.  The poor coin is being held together by a thick layer of verdigris but I was wondering if there was any chance of identifying it even though it's in pretty poor condition.

Looks like a standard 1862 halfpenny to me, and not collectible in this condition. Are you querying a variety such as die letter to left of lighthouse? I'm not convinced. I think you gave the id in the title of the post.
