i not long ago bought a set of the first decimal coins, they are gold plated. did they produce a set of gold plated decimals? they are dated 1968 and 1971 and consist of the half p 1p 2p 5p & 10p, they are lovely to look at but i cant find any listed anywhere?? i dont think the person i got them from had them gold plated, they are in a display booklet. but are they something the royal mint sold? anybody know? thanks for reading..

Nope, they're unofficial and have been gold plated at some point.
