I have a coin with the words

fredericvs borvssorvm rex dated 1750

the man looks as if he is wearing a uniform

the reverse has a crown at the top

under that is a bird (could be an eagle) wings out streached with two banners on poles

the bird rests on what looks like 4 flag poles either side of the bird with the letter A in a ring

which the bird is standing on

the coin is gold

German State of Prussia

Friedrich II (the Great), ruler of Prussia from 1740-1786.

you have a ½ Friedrich d'or, listed as C#45a in my old catalog.

1 Friedrich d'or was equal to 5 thaler, so yours would be 2½ thalers.

1 Friedrich d'or was 6.65gr of gold, so yours should be 3.32gr.

The 'A' on the reverse in the mintmark for Berlin
